Custom photo keepsakes are small, personalized photo gifts made to sit out and be seen: a custom acrylic photo block on a desk, an acrylic plaque on a shelf, a 3D crystal on a mantel, or sound wave art by the bedside. Each one is printed or engraved from a photo or recording you upload, so every piece is one of a kind.
Three keepsake formats, each suited to a different look and spot in the room.
Pick by how you want it to look and where it will sit. All four print or engrave from a file you upload.
Acrylic is the better choice for most photos. It is UV-printed in full color, so bright group shots, pets, and scenery all read well. A 3D crystal is engraved rather than printed, so the image sits inside the crystal in a single tone, which suits a clear portrait with a simple background more than a busy color photo. For a fuller breakdown of how the materials compare, see our guide to acrylic, glass, and crystal photo gift materials, and whether a 3D crystal photo is glass or crystal.
Keepsakes are made for surfaces, so the sizes stay desk- and shelf-friendly. Acrylic photo blocks come in four sizes, from a mini 2 x 2 in up to a 6 x 6 in statement square. Acrylic plaques start at 6 x 4 in and ship with a wooden stand, with an optional LED light stand. 3D crystals come in upright rectangular and heart shapes with an optional LED base. Each product page lists its exact sizes before checkout.
Use a sharp, well-lit photo of one or two subjects. For an acrylic block or plaque, a high-resolution file in full color reproduces best; for an engraved 3D crystal, a clear portrait with a simple background engraves more cleanly than a busy scene. A good phone photo works as long as it is in focus and large enough for the size you pick. See our photo resolution guide for printing for the file size to aim for.
Keepsakes are made for surfaces, not walls: a work desk, a bookshelf, a nightstand, a mantel, or a memorial table. They sit in everyday view, which is what makes them work as a gift and just as well as something you keep for yourself. To compare these pieces with wall-mounted formats by placement, browse the wider Home Decor collection. If the intended surface is a workspace, use the desk-display guide to arrange a keepsake on a work desk without measuring only the front face. For a shelf destination, measure the shelf and complete keepsake footprint before choosing the display position.
A keepsake suits any moment you want to keep in view. Couples mark milestones with anniversary photo gifts, graduates get a desk piece from our graduation gift guide, and families remember someone with personalized memorial gifts. New homes and birthdays work just as well, and for the holidays the personalized Christmas gifts guide matches each keepsake to the person receiving it. To compare keepsakes with puzzles, wall art, portraits, name plates, and other formats, use the Custom Gifts collection.
For an occasion the family identifies as a baptism or christening, use the personalized baptism and christening gifts guide before choosing a keepsake. Check the wording, the recipient, the photo or text you may use, and the intended surface rather than treating every keepsake as occasion-specific.
Every keepsake is produced after you order, printed or engraved from the photo or design you upload. The product page shows the current shipping window before checkout. We review each design and reach out only if something needs adjusting before it goes to production.
It is crystal. Giftenova's 3D photo blocks are laser-engraved inside K9 optical crystal, which is denser and clearer than standard glass. See is a 3D crystal photo glass or crystal for the full answer.
It depends on the format. Acrylic photo blocks stand upright on a flat surface with no stand. Acrylic plaques come with a wooden stand and offer an optional LED light stand. 3D crystals stand on their own and can add an optional LED base.
Yes, as long as it is sharp and high enough resolution for the size you choose. Check the photo resolution guide before you upload.
The photo blocks and crystals buyer guide compares the materials, formats, and which photo works best for each.
